The sun is shining, the days are getting longer, and Portland’5 has announced the return of Music on Main, the free summer concert series. This year's lineup features an electrifying mix of talented local musicians, bringing a diverse range of musical styles to downtown Portland.

From July 10 to August 28, music lovers of all ages can gather next to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to enjoy live music under the summer sky. Music on Main is a fantastic opportunity to unwind on a Wednesday evening, discover new music, and connect with your community in a vibrant atmosphere.

This year’s series features some of Portland’s favorite bands:

July 10 – LaRhonda Steele Family Band

July 17 – SOS – A Tribute to the Police

July 24 – Garcia Birthday Band

July 31 – Dreckig

August 7 – Too Loose Cajun Band

August 14 – DJ Anjali and the Incredible Kid, featuring the Gulabi Gang Dancers*

August 21 – Melao de Cuba

August 28 – Aaron Nigel Smith

 

*Portland’5 Department of Culture & Community takeover, with a special show time of 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 

All Music on Main Street concerts are FREE and open to the public. Concerts are held in downtown Portland on Southwest Main Street, between Broadway & Park Ave., next to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Each concert begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Tickets are not required for entry. Food and libations will be served by the ArtBar & Bistro starting at 4:00 p.m.

 

In case of rain or extreme heat, Music on Main Street concerts will be held in the rotunda lobby of Antoinette Hatfield Hall, located next to Main Street at 1111 SW Broadway.
