Common Cause Oregon on National Voter Registration Day, September 17

Sept. 17, is National Voter Registration Day, a day designated to focus attention and efforts on registering new voters across the country. 

Eligible Oregonians have until October 15 to register to vote ahead of the upcoming Nov. 5 general election. Residents should register to vote if they: 

• Are a U.S. citizen,
• Turn 18 on or before Election Day
• Have recently moved to Oregon, or
• Are a resident who lives in Oregon, but hasn’t already registered.

Oregonians who are unsure if their registration status is up-to-date can check and update it online or at their local county election office.

Registering to vote in Oregon is quick and simple. Oregonians can register or check and update their registration status online using the voter registration form available in county elections office​.
